Goodrest: our county campsite situated at Kings Norton, Birmingham B38 9EX

Nestled in 6 acres of woodland this lovely campsite is close to the M42 J2. It is hidden away in beautiful countryside, but within easy reach of Birmingham City Centre attractions and the local area via nearby bus routes.  Generations of girls have camped here and girls and leaders continue to enjoy the benefits of the facilities and equipment.

We welcome bookings for camps, meetings, sleepovers or day or weekend events.

Facilities

Your payment will cover exclusive use of the whole site (which includes all the facilities, hut, kitchen, toilets and showers and the car park)

 

Camping

Our campsite is a mixture of a camping field and lovely secluded wooded area.

Equipped For 30

Goodrest is a fully equipped for 30 campers.  Canvas patrol tents and lightweight 5 person tents are available - ask us for details.

The Martineau Hut

On site the Martineau hut provides facilities for cooking in a modern fitted kitchen.  There is an electric range cooker, microwave and fridge freezer along with hot/cold running water.

Main Hall

Big enough for a unit meeting or to use as a dining area for a wet camp, our main hall has enough tables and benches/chairs for everyone.

Toilets & Showers

Toilets and showers are accessible from inside the Martineau hut or outside from the camping field.  We have 3 toilets (one fully accessible) and 2 showers.

Indoor sleepovers

Our building can accommodate up to 30 people sleeping on the floor of the hut.  The toilets and showers can be accessed from inside the building.

Altar Fires

An outside store houses altar fires.

Campfire

A banked campfire circle is situated away from the main camping area.

Phone Line

There is a landline and mobile signal is good for most networks.

Car Park

A large on site car park can hold at least 20 cars.

These fees cover all our facilities, indoor and outdoor - there's no extra to pay.

£5 per person per night

Day bookings - £1.50 per person (minimum charge £25)

Evening bookings - £10 per unit

£6 per person per night
