Night in the cells…. a first time experience for 94th and 72nd Birmingham Guides.
On a dreary January day, the Guides met at Selly Oak station unbeknown what the night would entail. But first, an afternoon spent on another challenge… Brumopoly challenge, a fun filled race around Birmingham, answering questions, ticking off landmarks and a few silly photos.
Later, our evening activities commenced at the museum with tours, exhibits, fingerprints taken and forensics unearthed. The Guides did not hold back as gruesome questions were asked of the fantastic museum staff and volunteers. A pizza tea was enjoyed before their final investigative challenge of the evening. Time for bed, hard floors and benches in the Victorian cells, some sleep was had. The next morning after breakfast , a shop visit, time to say goodbye.
Thanks to Mel Hurst, and the leaders of 94th & 72nd Birmingham Guides for organising this usual sleepover for the Guides.
