Can your unit help our Christmas Good Turn appeal?
Birmingham Christmas Shelter was set up in 1974. The main aim is to provide a warm and friendly welcome to any adults who are homeless or in need of company during Christmas week, from 24 to 28 December. About 200 people are fed and entertained each day and about 100 sleep overnight. You can find out more here: Homelessness in Birmingham: How to Help & Support | Birmingham Christmas Shelter – Birmingham Christmas Shelter
Guests will be provided with
- Three hot meals a day and endless snacks & sandwiches.
- A warm place to sleep at night
- Daily entertainment and company
- Hot showers & other services such as foot care, hairdressing and holistic therapies
The charity gets a number of donations of food and services, is run entirely by volunteers and the project will be based at St Catherine of Siena Catholic Primary School, right opposite Trefoil House. We will be offering support to our neighbours this year, and they have sent us a list of what they most need from us.
- individually wrapped chocolates & sweets
- packets of biscuits
- dried fruit
- cereal bars
- shop bought cakes
- individual packets of crisps
- soft drinks
- small bottles of water
- small juice cartons
How to donate:

- Bring to Trefoil House at any time you are coming to an event or training (in a box or bag marked FAO Linda Bateman)
