After receiving funding from the Girlguiding Birmingham Opportunities Fund, Birmingham leader Abi took part in the level 2 walking scheme assessment weekend in the Peak District earlier in November.
She writes: “It was a very enjoyable weekend…. very busy but productive, full of navigation tests but also learning opportunities, lovely walks and scenery, surrounded by skilled & experienced assessors along with a lovely group of people on the rest of the walking weekend. I’m really looking forward to further developing my navigation and walk leadership skills with DofE girls and other guiding members in the future”.
