Event information

Summer holidays have started but it’s never too early to plan for September!

  • Do you like the outdoors?
  • Would you like to come for a day walk?
  • Map and compass skills aren’t necessary!

Join the D of E team for a day walk on Saturday 6th September, where you will accompany our supervisors and Bronze D of E girls on a walk – part of their Bronze assessed expedition. Maps will be provided!

It’s a short walk of approx 10km and will end at Trefoil Croft where an evening meal will be provided.  Please let me know dietary requirements.  (You will need to bring your own lunch, plus drinks and snacks for the walk).  Walking boots are preferable to shoes and the usual waterproofs are needed – just in case!

If you aren’t able to walk the whole way, we still have a role for you!  A driver, or two, is needed to be available at the start of the walk to take girls/leaders to the start point, and to meet the party at the end of the walk and ferry people back to camp if needed. All expenses provided.

There’s no obligation to join the DofE team, but the day will give a taster of what we offer the Guides and Rangers.

Email me: dofe@girlguidingbirmingham.org.uk if you are interested in coming along or if you would like more information about being one of our drivers.

I look forward to meeting you!
