“Scouts and Guides provide ‘mental health boost for life'” – What are your thoughts?

Today Girlguiding made it into the papers in some fabulous articles which reported that ex-Guides and Scouts were 15 % less likely to suffer from mood disorders or anxiety at the age of 50 compared with others their age. It is the lessons that girls and boys learn from being members of the organizations, such as resilience and team-work, that is believed to be the reason for this impact.
