Kusafiri International Activity Day
On the Tuesday of the half term holiday over 100 brownies and rainbows came together at Trefoil House for the Kusafiri Activity Day. The whole day was held in celebration of the opening of the new WAGGGS Fifth World Centre in Africa, and the activities were based around the sights, smells and sounds of Africa. Particular highlights were the chocolate activity from Ghana, gumboot dancing from South Africa, Imigongo art from Rwanda and mask-making based on traditional Nigerian designs. Of course there was also plenty of drumming, and Maggie Jones, County Commissioner took part with enthusiasm.
