Rainbows from Bartley Green celebrate 30 years of Rainbows at Build-A-Bear

Contributed by Hayley Melling

As the 1st Bartley Green Rainbows broke up for the Easter holiday they started celebrations for the Rainbows 30th Birthday. They made (quite literally) a new friend at a Build a bear and had great fun meeting Paulette the bunny! They even taught her their Rainbow song. Over the holidays the new teddy friends went home with the girls so they could get to know them better before bringing it back to our next Rainbow meeting for a special teddy bears picnic. It was made extra special as they girls all designed a T-shirt for their teddy complete with a Rainbow logo badge to make them official members of the unit! We had lots of fun and hope the bears will serve as a reminder of the special event to each Rainbow for another 30 years or more!
