On Saturday 17th November Trefoil House turned into a stable for over 100 tiny unicorns. This was the theme for this year’s Rainbow Fun Day. The girls spent the day singing, dancing, cooking and just being unicorns and had a fabulous time.
One of the leaders who brought her unit to the day wrote to the organisers: “Thank you to everyone who put such a lot of effort into yesterday, the girls had an amazing day and all of my parents have messaged me to say they couldn’t stop showing off (or eating) everything that they had made!”
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this day such a huge success.
Aliyah Begum, Young Leader with 175th Birmingham Brownie Unit in Yardley Division recently been named Birmingham’s Young Poet Laureate at the city’s Literature Festival. She volunteered with Girlguiding Birmingham as part of her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award – and she never left! She has recently taken her promise as a Young Leader and really enjoys planning lots of activities for the girls. She is a real inspiration to all her brownies.
202nd (St Mary Magdalene) Birmingham Brownies took part in Parliament week and had a visit from Steve McCabe, MP for Birmingham Selly Oak. The girls were really enthusiastic and interested in his work, asking lots of excellent questions. Well done girls – we hope to see some of you in Parliament before too long!
